Jason Scott Adkins, known to family and friends as "Scott," disappeared on January 17, 1999, while fishing with his brother along the Ohio River near Huntington, West Virginia. Their boat reportedly suffered engine trouble and capsized after being hit by the wake of a passing barge. Scott’s brother was able to make it to shore and call for help, but Scott was never seen again. Despite extensive search efforts, no trace of him was recovered. Over the years, there has been speculation about the circumstances, but those who knew Scott have always believed he would not have walked away from his life. His disappearance remains unsolved.
