Juanita Reedy was 36 years old when she vanished from Beckley, West Virginia, in early November 1979. The last confirmed sighting of her was on Valley Drive on November 9. Four days later, her family reported her missing after she failed to return home or make contact.

Just over a week after she was last seen, Juanita’s car was discovered abandoned in Pipestem, about 30 miles away from Beckley. The vehicle had been burned and stripped of parts, with no clear signs of what had happened to her. Investigators found no evidence at the scene to indicate where she might have gone or if a crime had occurred.

Despite searches and interviews, no new leads have emerged over the years. She has never been found, and there’s been no activity linked to her Social Security number since her disappearance.
