Patricia Vaughan is originally from East Hartford CT, where she attended Penney High School and Synergy Alternative High School. Her disappearance is currently being investigated by Connecticut State Police. Few details are available in her case.
In 1982, Patricia appears to have traveled from Connecticut to West Virginia with a friend. While that friend later returned to Connecticut, Patricia remained in West Virginia. During this time, she may have been living in or around the Mathias area and was known to be staying with or associating with a local truck driver, Galen Douglas Sager, who is reported to have had a troubled past.
Patricia was last seen in Mathias on May 15, 1982, and has never been heard from again. For reasons that remain unclear, she was not reported missing until 1995, thirteen years after her disappearance.
