In 1980, a woman’s remains were discovered in a shallow grave in Rawley Springs, Virginia, about 165 miles from Fairmont. Behind the Scenes of the Project
We submitted a FOIA request in hopes of uncovering more details about this case, especially since even the exact date of disappearance remains unclear. Unfortunately, our request was denied, leaving us with more questions than answers. It’s especially disappointing given how old this case is, dating back to 1973, and how little information is publicly available. Still, we remain committed to uncovering the truth and bringing renewed attention to a case that has been left in the shadows for far too long.
