Bertha Lee Sistrunk was last seen on the evening of September 28, 2020, in Fairmont, West Virginia. She was 78 years old at the time. Earlier that day, Bertha had been discharged from the hospital and returned to her home on Bridge Street. Later that evening, she was seen downtown and then spotted again near Windmill Park, where she was offered help but kindly declined, saying she was on her way home. Bertha never made it back, and she hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Bertha has connections across West Virginia, including Barrackville, Morgantown, and Osage, as well as family ties in Baltimore, Maryland. She was known to enjoy her independence but may have been facing early signs of dementia at the time of her disappearance. Despite many searches, her whereabouts remain unknown, and her loved ones continue to wait for answers.
